October 2010: The groupís third publication appears in Journal of Undergraduate Chemistry Research.† Congratulations Mark, Kenny, Adam, and Adam!†

October 2010: Justin Kontra, Kris Randall, and Samantha Bowen present posters at the 13th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium at UMBC.† Justin and Samantha place second in their divisions.

May 2010: The group (Nick, Brandon, Mark, Matt, Adam, and Colleen) graduates. Congratulations! Their replacements arrive in lab the Monday after graduation. Former Peelen group researcher Thanh Le is awarded the Neidig award as the top graduate at LVC.

January 2010: Dr. Peelen is awarded a research grant by the NSF.† The grand will provide $144,000 over 3 years in order to carry out the project, which will investigate the synthesis of unnatural amino acids.

January 2010: Nick Boaz and Matt Kartzman present posters at the 5th Annual Undergraduate Student Poster Session at Temple University sponsored by the Philadelphia Section of the ACS.

October 2009: Nick Boaz, Brandon Parks, Mark Thomas, and Adam Shipe and Colleen OíNeill present posters at the 12th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium at UMBC.† Nickís poster is judged as best in its division.

May 2009: Sara Schwanger, Nate Bair, Kenny Potter, Adam Wier graduate.† Congratulations!† Sara receives the Neidig award as the top graduate at LVC.

April 2009: Brandon Parks receives a travel grant from the Organic Division of the ACS to attend the National Organic Symposium.† Congratulations Brandon!

April 2009: Nick Boaz and Brandon Parks presented their research at the 73rd Annual Intercollegiate Student Chemistís (ISC) Conference at Franklin and Marshall College.† Nickís talk is judged first place in the organic section.

March 2009:† Nick Boaz and Dr. P are selected for an award under the Division of Fluorine Chemistry's Moissan Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship program.† Congratulations Nick!
